First Generation Universal Synthesis Columns have a large synthesis capacity and are easy to assemble. Second Generation Synthesis Columns involve CPG sintered with ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene or high-density polyethylene, making them more efficient, faster, and economical.
First Generation Synthesis Columns
First generation synthesis columns are filled with solid-phase carrier CPG inside the column tube, fixed by upper and lower sieve plates. They have a large synthesis capacity, are easy to assemble, and are suitable for short-chain primer synthesis.

Second Generation Synthesis Columns
The second-generation universal synthesis columns combine CPG with a small filter sintering technology and universal carrier technology, integrating CPG and upper and lower sieve plates into one unit. They are compatible with mainstream commercial synthesizers.
By optimizing the height and diameter, we can reduce reagent waste and cleaner consumption, thereby lowering synthesis costs. The universal synthesis membrane is sintered from hydrophobic polyethylene base material, providing excellent hydrophobicity. This creates an ideal anhydrous environment for phosphoramidite monomers, which are highly sensitive to moisture, thus improving synthesis efficiency.
